Cervical Cancer Awareness
January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month
January is Cervical Cancer Month, which is a way to raise awareness of how to prevent cervical cancer and get screening, the New Mexico Department of Health reminded people this week. Almost all cervical cancers are caused by the human papillomavirus, which is a common virus.
Freezing eggs, also known as oocyte cryopreservation, may be a useful fertility-preserving option for women with cervical cancer, especially if treatment includes radiation and chemotherapy, which can damage a woman’s store of eggs. We can assist you at Southwest Fertility Center.
